My friend Megan Allen wrote a trilogy of straight plays and had a wonderful read through of the last play at Tennessee Performing Arts Company last week. I was honoured to not only take photos for the event, but read for a few of the characters as well. I have gotten to know Megan in the past few months as I was her scribe for Sun-Kissed Emojis. Megan has a passion for bringing awareness to Cerebral Palsy through her plays. She has an impressive talent and is driven when it comes to her goals and everyday life challenges. Look out for her…she is doing big things!

Most of you know that I’m a bit of a hippie, and so when I found out my client was having her sweet girl at Baby & Company in Nashville, I was just a WEE bit excited. I haven’t had the honour of shooting a birth there and now that I have, well, let me just say that I’m in love with the place! The calm and welcoming environment is so peaceful. Kim was an absolute birthing rockstar and her husband Ryan was so supportive in coaching her and supporting her throughout. He lovingly helped her breath in the way that would be most beneficial in getting Annlyn here. I was also very impressed with Kim’s doula and birth team at Baby & Co. It was a beautiful thing to watch everyone work together in bringing beautiful Annlyn into the world. And, can I just say that I finally got a shot of the clock the same minute she was born? Usually I’m too busy wiping tears and I forget to take a photo of the clock. I guess since I started tearing up early this time I was able to get that clock shot. Welcome Annlyn!
